Promensil became available in the UK in 1998. Promensil was developed 20 years ago and has undergone over 20 years of scientific research, resulting in 18 studies, carried out worldwide on over 1,000 women going through menopause. Results of these studies have been published in scientific journals.

Promensil offer a range of menopause supplements containing standardised red clover isoflavones, specific for each stage of the menopause, as well as a medical device cooling spray for instant topical relief for hot flushes and night sweats.

Each tablet contains a standardised 40mg or 80mg of four isoflavones: genistein, daidzein, formononetin and biochanin A sourced from red clover (Trifolium pratense). These red clover isoflavones are naturally occurring phytoestrogens or plant oestrogens which are NOT chemically synthesized. Promensil is free from sugar, yeast, milk derivatives, wheat and corn starch, gluten, preservatives, artificial colours and flavours.

Each tablet contains a standardised 40mg of four isoflavones: genistein, daidzein, formononetin and biochanin A sourced from red clover (Trifolium pratense). These red clover isoflavones are naturally occurring phytoestrogens or plant oestrogens which are NOT chemically synthesized.

Each tablet also contains 12.5µg (500IU) of vitamin D and 500mg of calcium to helping to maintain normal bone health.

Promensil is free from sugar, yeast, milk derivatives, wheat and corn starch, gluten, preservatives, artificial colours and flavours.

Red clover (Trifolium pratense) is a herbal extract that belongs to the legume family and is high in isoflavones (natural plant oestrogens). Red Clover isoflavones mimic the action of oestrogen and are widely used by women to maintain their health and vitality especially during the time of menopause.

Promensil is a dietary supplement based on red clover isoflavones specifically developed to help women to support good health during the menopause naturally. Promensil red clover contains 4 key isoflavones (Genistein, Daidzein, Biochanin A and Formonoetin) that help balance female hormones by mimicking the effects of oestrogen in the body, which in turn help support women, particulary during and after the menopause. Studies have shown that Promensil may help to maintain good general health during the menopause as well as bone and cholesterol health.

Not all red clover products are the same. Whereas some red clover extracts contain little or no isoflavones, Promensil uses a standardised patented extraction process to guarantee purity and quantity of the core, active ingredient at the optimal levels (40-80mg).

Promensil’s red clover isoflavones are naturally occurring and are not chemically synthesised. The red clover used in Promensil, from which the extract is taken, is cultivated and harvested in respect of GAP (Good Agricultural Practices), ensuring full process traceability. The harvest–time coincides with the balsamic period of the plant and has been established over the years through close collaboration and partnerships between the factory that produces the extract and each farm.

Each batch coming from the plantations is identified by validated HPLC and TLC procedures that determine the total content of the ingredients and detect any contaminants present in accordance with the current standards. Promensil tablets are produced in a European facility under full GMP/GAP conditions. Each tablet contains 40 or 80mg of standardised red clover isoflavones, the optimal amount to help menopause women as documented in published clinical studies.

Red clover and soy are both legumes and belong to the same family of plants. The main difference is that red clover contains four active isoflavones whereas soy only has two. The extra two found in red clover are commonly found in other legumes such as chick peas and lentils.

Red clover isoflavones also have better bioavailability, take less time to reach maximum concentration in the body and keep maximum concentration for longer, compared to soya isoflavones.

It is recommended that 1 to 2 Promensil tablets are taken daily with food. Usually 1 tablet per day suits most women either taken in the morning with breakfast or in the evening depending on when you feel it is most appropriate for you. Some women find that taking 2 tablets a day is preferable so that the body has a top up of dietary isoflavones twice a day.

Promensil supplements are suitable to be taken daily for as long as needed to help maintain a comfortable menopause.

You should be able to assess the full benefits of taking Promensil after the first 8-12 weeks. 

Antibiotics may disrupt your ‘friendly’ gut bacteria and hence reduce the absorption of isoflavones from the gut. There is the possibility that the absorption of isoflavones may also be reduced by certain stomach remedies, such as H2 antagonists and proton pump inhibitors.

Promensil cooling spray is a paraben-free formulation which offers instant relief from the discomfort of hot flushes and night sweats.

Ethanol – On application it provides a local cooling effect of the skin surface and underlying tissues through evaporation.

Glycerine – A humectant, which can aid protection of the skin by helping to attract moisture and thereby keeping the skin moisturised and feeling smooth.

Menthol – An organic compound with a characteristic minty aroma. Through its cooling sensation it can help the skin to feel both soothed and invigorated.

Peppermint Oil – A member of the mint family, which has been used for thousands of years for its beneficial properties. As an aromatherapy oil it can help to relieve anxiety and when applied to the skin it can promote cooling

Promensil Cooling Spray offers instant relief from the discomfort of hot flushes and night sweats using rapid evaporation technology. This gentle, clinically tested cooling spray draws heat away from the skin, quickly and effectively reducing skin temperature and redness.

Promensil is not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation. The product is not recommended for use by children. Use only as directed.

Yes. Promensil Cooling Spray can be used on it’s own, alongside Promensil red clover supplements or any other natural therapy. The spray can also be used alongside HRT.

If you have mistakenly purchased the wrong product Promensil will gladly give you a full refund within 7 days of purchase as long as the product remains un-opened, unused and is in a re-saleable condition. Please contact our customer service team via the contact us page or call 0845 612 2070 for details on how to return the product.

We will only process a refund if the returned item is unopened, unused and is in a re-saleable condition. If this is not the case, you will be notified that no refund is available and the return of the item to you will be at your cost.

If you return the item because of damage, defects or incorrect or incomplete delivery within 30 days of purchase, we will exchange or refund the price you paid for the item excluding delivery but will cover the costs of the delivery charge to return the item to our Head Office. You must enclose a valid receipt for the return delivery costs.

If you are returning the item for any other reason within 30 days of purchase, you are required to arrange and pay for the delivery costs to return the item to our Head Office. You should use a delivery service that requires a signature upon receipt. We will not be responsible for items returned that are lost in transit.

Refunds will only be made as credits against the original credit/debit card used to purchase the item.
